Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), a Miniratna Category-I Public Sector Enterprise and a subsidiary of Coal India Limited under the Ministry of Coal, has released the WCL Jobs 2026 Notification (Employment Notification No. 2026/69 dated 16 July 2026) for the recruitment of 444 Mining Sirdar, T&S Grade-C and Assistant Foreman (Trainee) (Electrical)/Electrical Supervisor, T&S Grade-C posts. The vacancies are available for WCL’s Underground (UG) and Opencast (OC) mines located across Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

Selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination. Educational Qualification
Mining Sirdar, T&S Grade-C
Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:
- Valid Mining Sirdar Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS.
- Valid Gas Testing Certificate.
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Minimum three years of Underground Mine experience.
OR
- Diploma in Mining Engineering from a Government-recognized institute.
- Valid Overman Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS.
- Valid Gas Testing Certificate.
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
Assistant Foreman (Trainee) (Electrical)/Electrical Supervisor
Candidates must possess:
- Diploma (Minimum 3-Year Course) in Electrical Engineering from a Government-recognized institute.
- Valid Electrical Supervisory Certificate for Mines issued by the Appropriate Government.
Other Eligibility Details
- Qualifications must be recognized by AICTE, UGC or other statutory authorities.
- Distance learning or part-time qualifications are not acceptable.
- Candidates with higher statutory competency certificates issued by DGMS are also eligible for Mining Sirdar.
- Candidates can apply for only one post.
- Restricted competency certificate holders are not eligible.
- All educational qualifications should be completed before the last date of application.
Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive an attractive salary under the National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA XI).
