DU UG Admissions 2026 to Begin Soon
Following the declaration of the CUET UG 2026 results, Delhi University has announced that the undergraduate admission process will begin shortly.
Speaking on the development, DU Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh said the university plans to start the academic session by the first week of August if admissions proceed according to schedule.
Candidates seeking admission to Delhi University’s undergraduate programmes should regularly monitor the official CSAS admission portal, where registration and preference-filling will be activated shortly.
CUET UG Result 2026 Released Earlier Than Last Year
The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the CUET UG 2026 results just 16 days after the examination concluded, making it one of the fastest result declarations in recent years.
This year, CUET UG witnessed a slight delay in a few examination centres due to technical issues, following which a re-test was conducted on June 6 and June 7, 2026. Despite these challenges, the agency managed to announce the results significantly earlier than the previous admission cycle.
The timely declaration is expected to help universities complete admissions earlier and begin classes without delay.
Delhi University Admission Process Through CSAS
The admission process at Delhi University will continue through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS).
The admission procedure includes:
- Online registration on the CSAS portal

- Acceptance of allotted seats
- Document verification
- Payment of admission fee

Ambedkar University Ready to Start Admissions
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi is also preparing to launch its undergraduate admission process immediately after receiving CUET data from the National Testing Agency.
Vice-Chancellor Anu Singh Lather stated that the university expects to complete multiple rounds of counselling and admissions within one month because the CUET results have been announced on time.
The university hopes to complete the entire admission process well before the commencement of the academic session.
Jamia Millia Islamia Admissions Already Underway
Unlike some other universities, Jamia Millia Islamia has already started its registration process for undergraduate courses that accept CUET scores.
The university offers admission to 25 undergraduate programmes through CUET UG and will soon begin seat allocation based on candidates’ scores and preferences.
Applicants who wish to study at Jamia should complete their registrations before the prescribed deadline.

One of Delhi University’s most prestigious colleges, Miranda House, recently organised an admission guidance programme for aspiring students.
The open house sessions were conducted between June 17 and June 22, where students and parents received detailed information about:
