About BPSC 70th Combined Competitive Examination
The BPSC Combined Competitive Examination is conducted to recruit candidates for various prestigious administrative positions in the Bihar Government.
The selection process consists of three major stages:
Stage 1: Preliminary Examination
Candidates first appeared in the Preliminary Examination, which served as the screening test.
Stage 2: Main Examination
Qualified candidates from the Preliminary Examination were shortlisted for the Main Examination.
Stage 3: Interview
Candidates who cleared the Main Examination were called for the personality test and interview round.
The final merit list was prepared by combining marks obtained in the Main Examination and Interview.
The 70th CCE remained in the headlines due to several developments during the examination cycle.
The Preliminary Examination conducted in December 2024 faced controversy at the Bapu Examination Complex in Patna. Due to disturbances reported at one examination centre, BPSC cancelled the test conducted at that venue and later organized a re-examination on January 4, 2025.
The examination also witnessed protests from a section of aspirants demanding cancellation of the Preliminary Examination. The issue reached both the Patna High Court and the Supreme Court before the recruitment process continued.
Despite these challenges, BPSC successfully completed all stages and finalized the results.
