How to Calculate Expected Marks
Candidates can estimate their scores using the following formula:
Raw Score = Correct Answers − (Incorrect Answers × 1/3)
Example
Suppose you attempted 90 questions.
- Correct Answers = 72
- Incorrect Answers = 18
Calculation:
- Positive Marks = 72
- Negative Marks = 18 × 1/3 = 6
Expected Score = 66 Marks
This estimated score gives candidates an idea of their performance before the official result is announced.
