For thousands of young job seekers across Haryana, the biggest challenge is not finding a government job notification—it’s preparing separately for every recruitment that comes out.
The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has attempted to solve that problem through the HSSC CET Group D Recruitment 2026.
Think of the Common Eligibility Test (CET) as a single gateway. Instead of appearing for multiple preliminary examinations for various Group D vacancies, candidates only need to qualify the CET. Once they do, they become eligible to participate in future Group D recruitments announced by HSSC.
That is why the latest notification issued under Advertisement No. 05/2026 is being viewed as one of the most important opportunities for government job aspirants in Haryana this year.
The registration process has officially started from June 19, 2026, and candidates can submit their applications until July 3, 2026.
Every year, lakhs of candidates wait for Group D vacancies in departments such as:
- Revenue Department
- Panchayat Department
- Health Department
- Irrigation Department
- Public Works Department
- Municipal Bodies
- Education Department
- Other Haryana Government Offices
The catch is simple.
If you are not CET-qualified, you may not even get the opportunity to apply when those vacancies arrive.
That makes the HSSC CET Group D Recruitment 2026 more than an examination—it is an eligibility passport for future government jobs.
What Exactly Is HSSC CET?
The Common Eligibility Test is a screening examination conducted by HSSC.
Candidates who secure the prescribed qualifying marks receive CET eligibility and can then participate in future Group D recruitment processes announced by the commission.
Rather than conducting separate preliminary exams repeatedly, Haryana now uses CET scores to shortlist candidates.
This saves:
- Time
- Money
- Repeated examination stress
for both candidates and the government.
