WCL Jobs 2026: Apply Online for 444 Mining Sirdar & Assistant Foreman (Electrical Supervisor) Posts

Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), a Miniratna Category-I Public Sector Enterprise and a subsidiary of Coal India Limited under the Ministry of Coal, has released the WCL Jobs 2026 Notification (Employment Notification No. 2026/69 dated 16 July 2026) for the recruitment of 444 Mining Sirdar, T&S Grade-C and Assistant Foreman (Trainee) (Electrical)/Electrical Supervisor, T&S Grade-C posts. The vacancies are available for WCL’s Underground (UG) and Opencast (OC) mines located across Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

Eligible candidates can submit their online applications from 20 July 2026 (10:00 AM) to 10 August 2026 (11:55 PM)through the official WCL recruitment portal. Selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination. WCL Jobs 2026: Age Limit

Age Relaxation

Age Limit Details

Candidates must satisfy the prescribed age criteria as on 10 August 2026. Age relaxation will be applicable according to Government of India and Coal India Limited recruitment rules.

Educational Qualification

Mining Sirdar, T&S Grade-C

Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:

• Valid Mining Sirdar Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS.
• Valid Gas Testing Certificate.
• Valid First Aid Certificate.
• Minimum three years of Underground Mine experience.

OR

• Diploma in Mining Engineering from a Government-recognized institute.
• Valid Overman Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS.
• Valid Gas Testing Certificate.
• Valid First Aid Certificate.

Assistant Foreman (Trainee) (Electrical)/Electrical Supervisor

Candidates must possess:

• Diploma (Minimum 3-Year Course) in Electrical Engineering from a Government-recognized institute.
• Valid Electrical Supervisory Certificate for Mines issued by the Appropriate Government.

Other Eligibility Details

• Qualifications must be recognized by AICTE, UGC or other statutory authorities.
• Distance learning or part-time qualifications are not acceptable.
• Candidates with higher statutory competency certificates issued by DGMS are also eligible for Mining Sirdar.
• Candidates can apply for only one post.
• Restricted competency certificate holders are not eligible.
• All educational qualifications should be completed before the last date of application.

Salary Details

Selected candidates will receive an attractive salary under the National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA XI).

Training / Probation

Selection Process

Selection for WCL Jobs 2026 will be conducted in the following stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
2. Document Verification
3. Medical Examination

Candidates qualifying the CBT will be shortlisted for document verification in the ratio of 3:1 against the number of vacancies.
