The recruitment drive includes vacancies in Civil Construction and Infrastructure, Electrical, Employability Skills, Fabrication, Apparel and Fashion, Medical and Nursing, and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade groups. Eligible candidates with the required Diploma, Degree, CITS or NCIC qualifications can submit their online applications from 20 July 2026 to 03 August 2026. The educational qualification for the GSSSB Supervisor Instructor Recruitment 2026 varies according to the selected trade group. Candidates may be eligible through a relevant engineering or technical degree, diploma, advanced vocational diploma, CITS qualification or NCIC qualification along with the prescribed work experience.
Candidates applying for the Civil Construction and Infrastructure group may be eligible with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture along with the required experience. Candidates with a three year Diploma in Civil Engineering or Architecture may also be eligible with the prescribed experience.
Candidates with SSC qualification along with CITS or NCIC certification and the required relevant experience may also be eligible for certain trade groups.
The exact qualification and experience requirements differ for each trade group. Therefore, candidates must carefully check Appendix A of the specific advertisement before applying.
Candidates must also possess basic computer knowledge as prescribed under the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment Rules, 1967.
The written examination will consist of two parts:
Part A: General Topics
Part B: Trade Specific Subject

The examination duration will be 180 minutes. There will be negative marking of one fourth mark for every wrong answer.
Candidates must qualify in both Part A and Part B as per the prescribed minimum qualifying marks. Candidates who qualify will be considered for further selection based on merit and applicable reservation rules.
Candidates should carefully check all details before confirming the application, as changes may not be permitted after final confirmation.
Selected candidates will initially receive a fixed monthly pay of ₹40,800 for the first five years.
After successful completion of five years of service and subject to satisfactory service conditions, candidates may be placed in the regular Pay Level 5 scale.
