The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released the official notification for AIIMS NORCET 11 Recruitment 2026 for 2,218 tentative Nursing Officer posts across AIIMS New Delhi and other participating AIIMS institutes and hospitals. Eligible candidates with the required B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing or GNM qualification can apply online from 24 July 2026 to 13 August 2026.
The recruitment will be conducted through the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET 11). Candidates between 18 and 30 years of age, along with applicable age relaxation for reserved categories, can apply for these Group B Nursing Officer posts. The application fee can be paid through Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking. The candidate will bear applicable transaction or processing charges.
The application fee is non-refundable under normal circumstances. However, SC and ST candidates who appear in the examination may receive a refund after the result declaration and verification of certificates, as per the applicable conditions.

As per the information provided in the recruitment notice, 80% of seats are reserved for female candidates and 20% for male candidates across participating AIIMS institutes.
Candidates must fulfill any one of the following educational qualification routes:
B.Sc. Hons. Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing from an institute or university recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or State Nursing Council.
OR
Post Certificate or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institute or university.
Candidates must also be registered as a Nurse and Midwife with the State Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council.
Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized institute, board or council.
Candidates must also be registered as a Nurse and Midwife with the State Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council.
In addition, candidates applying through the GNM route must possess two years of experience in a minimum 50 bedded hospital after obtaining the required qualification and completing the required registration formalities.
The eligibility conditions must be fulfilled on or before the closing date of online registration, i.e. 13 August 2026.
Selected candidates for the Nursing Officer post will be placed at Level 7 of the Pay Matrix under the 7th Central Pay Commission.

The post corresponds to the pre-revised Pay Band 2 of ₹9,300 to ₹34,800 with Grade Pay of ₹4,600. Selected candidates will also receive applicable allowances admissible to Central Government employees as per the applicable rules and place of posting.
Selection for AIIMS NORCET 11 Recruitment 2026 will be conducted through the following stages:

The final merit list will be prepared primarily on the basis of performance in the NORCET Mains examination.
Candidates qualifying in Stage I, up to five times the number of seats available in each category, may be called for Stage II.
Candidates already registered under an existing OTR or previous examination registration should use the same registration ID where required. Applying through multiple or incorrect registration IDs may lead to rejection of candidature.
Candidates employed in Government, Semi Government, PSU or Autonomous Bodies must submit the required NOC by 18 August 2026 up to 5:00 PM.
Candidates should also ensure that the required OBC NCL and EWS certificates are valid according to the dates and financial year conditions mentioned in the official notification.
