Here is the user manual for our quick import plugin for Quotes module of vtiger.

Vtiger CRM by default does not have the import and export option for inventory records. Hence, the vTigress team started out by making a tool for importing and exporting inventory records. As a byproduct of this, we were able to create what are called quick import plug-ins for Sales Order, Purchase Order, Quotes and Invoice module of vtiger.

Presenting the Quotes quick import plug in for vtiger5.4 which imports the mandatory fields and handles error records also.

  • Go to the vtiger instance and login with the specified credentials.

  • The home page is as shown below. Go to CRM settings in the right corner and click on module manage.

  • Now click on custom module and then click on Import new.

  • Click on choose file and import Quotes zip file from the Computer and click on import.

  • Now accept the license click on yes.

  • Now go back to home page and click on “More” and choose “Quotes Order” from the list. Now it redirects to screen below. Then you can see a “QO Import” button available for importing QO records.

Import the Quotes Order records from the excel file

  • As shown in the picture click on ‘QO Import’ button and import an excel file with quotes order module records which contains only mandatory fields.

  • When it is a good file the results will be as shown below. All records are fine without any errors.

Verify the recorded Imports

  • This screen shows a bad file with some error, which is not approved in the CRM, hence coloured in red.

    Check the error records.

  • Now refresh the page and see all the correct records imported on the screen.
