The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has officially announced the BPSC 70th CCE Final Result 2026, bringing an end to one of the most discussed recruitment examinations in Bihar. According to the commission, the final selection has been made based on candidates’ performance in the Main Examination and Interview round. Along with the result, BPSC has also published the complete merit list of selected candidates.

The BPSC Combined Competitive Examination is conducted to recruit candidates for various prestigious administrative positions in the Bihar Government.
The selection process consists of three major stages:
Candidates first appeared in the Preliminary Examination, which served as the screening test.
Qualified candidates from the Preliminary Examination were shortlisted for the Main Examination.
Candidates who cleared the Main Examination were called for the personality test and interview round.
The final merit list was prepared by combining marks obtained in the Main Examination and Interview.
The 70th CCE remained in the headlines due to several developments during the examination cycle.
The Preliminary Examination conducted in December 2024 faced controversy at the Bapu Examination Complex in Patna. Due to disturbances reported at one examination centre, BPSC cancelled the test conducted at that venue and later organized a re-examination on January 4, 2025.
The examination also witnessed protests from a section of aspirants demanding cancellation of the Preliminary Examination. The issue reached both the Patna High Court and the Supreme Court before the recruitment process continued.
Despite these challenges, BPSC successfully completed all stages and finalized the results.
The Main Examination was conducted from April 25 to April 30, 2025, across 32 examination centres in Patna.
The large number of candidates reflects the popularity and prestige associated with Bihar’s civil services examination.
Reports indicate that approximately 200 candidates have been selected for the post of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) through this recruitment cycle.
Apart from SDM positions, selected candidates will also be appointed to various administrative and executive posts under the Bihar Government.
The final allocation of services will be carried out according to merit rank, category, and available vacancies.
