Apple has officially announced a major price revision for several of its products in India, making MacBooks, desktop Macs, iPads, Apple TV, and HomePod speakers more expensive. The latest price hike affects nearly every major hardware category except the iPhone lineup, which continues to retain its existing prices for now.
The increase follows comments from Apple CEO Tim Cook, who recently stated that the company could no longer absorb rising component costs caused by the sharp increase in global DRAM and NAND flash memory prices. According to Apple, the growing demand for AI infrastructure has pushed storage and memory prices to unprecedented levels, forcing the company to revise retail pricing.
The latest revision covers:
Interestingly, Apple has not increased the prices of any iPhone models in India as of now.
Apple attributes the latest price hike primarily to the steep increase in the cost of memory and storage chips worldwide.
Several factors have contributed to the increase:
According to Apple, the company absorbed these costs for several months but eventually had to revise product pricing to maintain business sustainability.

The standard MacBook Pro M5 is now ₹70,000 more expensive than before, taking its starting price to ₹2,39,900.

The popular 13-inch MacBook Air powered by Apple’s M5 chip now starts at ₹1,49,900, compared to its earlier price of ₹1,20,900.
Despite the increase, the MacBook Air continues to remain Apple’s most popular premium laptop for students, professionals, and creators.
Apple has also increased prices for its home entertainment products.
These products have witnessed increases ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹12,000.
Although Apple has revised prices across several hardware categories, the iPhone lineup has not yet been affected.
Industry analysts believe Apple is avoiding an immediate iPhone price hike because of intense competition in the premium smartphone segment. However, reports suggest that future iPhone models could eventually see revised pricing if component costs continue to rise.
